An Indian woman arrives outside an industrial building in the Black Country.  It's a summer's day in  the 1960s, yet she is in winter clothes, a thick winter coat and with a suitcase in her hand. Unable or unwilling to speak, the only clue as to why she is here is the piece of headed notepaper she produces from the case. Who is she? Where has she come from? Why is she here?

We are delighted to announce that Genevieve Say will be joining Black Country Touring (BCT) as our new Artistic Director in June. Genevieve brings 20 years’ experience as an independent performer, choreographer and movement director working across theatre and dance.

After 28 years of visionary leadership, Frances Land and Steve Johnstone, Co-Artistic Directors of Black Country Touring (BCT), have decided to step down during Autumn 2025 following a transitional handover. Their dedication to quality, diversity, and the communities of the Black Country has been integral in growing BCT’s reach and reputation.

Wild begins its tour across the Black Country today. Our first show is tonight at 7:30pm at Brierley Hill Civic Hall.
