Exhibition Commission Call Out - Smethwick Puppetry Festival

The Smethwick Puppetry Festival has been running since 2024, bringing professional puppetry performances for children, families and adults to community venues during February half-term.

The festival will run from 13th - 21st February 2027 in venues across Smethwick (Black Country, West Midlands).

Alongside the live performances, the festival hosts an exhibition every year relating to the world of puppetry and puppet theatre. And this year, we are looking to commission an artist to curate the exhibition through an open call.

The exhibition must connect to puppetry in some way but other than that we are open to ideas!
